Terms and Conditions
In the following terms & conditions "Student of the Horse” shall mean Arran Parker trading as Student of the Horse (SOTH). "The client(s)” shall be those persons defined in the booking confirmation. It is mutually agreed that the following terms of agreement form an integral part of this contract and cannot be varied in any way by the client(s) unless such conditions are expressly agreed by the Student of the Horse in writing.
By booking and paying for an event, course, clinic or private coaching session with Student of the Horse you agree to the below Terms and Conditions.
1.1 In order to reserve and secure your space on an event, course, clinic or private coaching session with SOTH you will be required to pay 100% of the cost of the session at the time of booking unless otherwise confirmed by SOTH. Payments are non refundable; but under exceptional circumstances may be transferable to a similar event or standby list if possible.
Booking should be made via our website www.studentofthehorse.co.uk and payment by PAYPAL to ensure that your space is secured unless by prior arrangement with SOTH directly in writing.
2.1 Payment plans are regularly made available for our clinics, courses and private coaching sessions which allows the cost of the course to be spread over 3,6 or 12 months. Due to the small numbers of participants on each course spaces are limited and also in demand. In order to secure your space when utilising a payment plan (if available) you will be required to pay £150 deposit with the balance of the course paid over the specified time indicated at the time of booking, being either 3,6 or 12 months. As per point 1.1 when booking on the course you consent to enter into a contract with SOTH and are liable for 100 % of the cost albeit that the payment is extended over the selected time frame.
2.2 Balances owed for courses must be paid in full 7 days before the final session commences. Payments are non refundable; but under exceptional circumstances may be transferable to a similar event or standby list if possible. If there is a problem with your horse we will, where possible, endeavour to provide you with one of our "training horses" although this cannot be guaranteed as it depends on availability.
2.3 You will be notified via PayPal of any payments "missed" as part of the payment plan and these will be due for immediate collection.
2.4 Booking should be made via our website www.studentofthehorse.co.uk and payment made via PAYPAL to ensure that your space is secured unless by prior arrangement with SOTH directly in writing.
3.1 If SOTH has to cancel the appointment for reasons beyond their control (death, injury, sickness, etc.), their liability shall be limited to a full refund of all monies paid. If the Client cancels the appointment, as stated at the time of booking, the payments are non refundable and will be retained by Student of the Horse; but under exceptional circumstances may be transferable or postponed to a similar event or standby list if possible.
3.2 Should the cancelled appointment be postponed, then, subject to availability, all monies paid may be applied to the new appointment date. In this case, the total fees chargeable shall be the fee which applies at that time. If, following cancellation by the client, a new date cannot be agreed by both parties, the full course fee will be retained by SOTH unless a replacement candidate can be found to fill the space.
Important Notice Pursuant to the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013:
4. Where this contract has been entered into as a result of any form of distance selling and the customer is a "consumer" you have 14 days from receipt of this contract to cancel it.
4.4 If you decide to cancel your attendance at one of our events, clinics, courses and private coaching, you are within the 14 day stipulated period from the time of booking and there is 4 weeks before the commencement of the course date, then please put your request in writing via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. As long as the conditions are met you will receive a full refund to the value of the amount paid for that individual event, clinic, course or private coaching session.
5.0 Please address any complaints to Arran Parker by email to email@example.com as per the contact details. We will endeavour to respond to any complaint within 5 working days of receipt.
If you sign up to our database we will store your name and address details on a private internal database. These details will not be made available to third parties. Should you wish to have your details removed from our database, please advise us in writing or simply select unsubscribe to be removed from the list.
